Swedish-born US-based guitar maestro YNGWIE MALSTEEN has been announced as the headlining act of DUBAI ROCK FEST 2013. The event will take place on Friday 12th April at the Emirates Golf Club in Dubai, UAE. Apart from this artist, the festival's organization has also announced the local Progressive Metal act ANURYZM as the opening act.

The other participating bands in this event are the Swedish Melodic Death metallers DARK TRANQUILLITY, the French Heavy Metal band NIGHTMARE, Tunisian Oriental metallers MYRATH and THE SANITY DAYS, the band formed by former members of the British Thrash metal band ONSLAUGHT.
